It’s time again to highlight another great venue in the Charlotte area. Here at Magnificent Moments Weddings, we love nothing more than sharing these great venues and the people who work at these locations with you, our clients. This week’s spotlight is on The Ballantyne Hotel and the many features it has to offer!
The Ballantyne Hotel is a four-star luxury hotel located in the Ballantyne district of Charlotte. And trust me, in the luxury category this venue does not disappoint! The hotel has so many great space options including an elegant ballroom and picturesque grounds, you are sure to find the perfect atmosphere to fit the vision of your day. They are currently remodeling as well! So everything will be brand new in the fall of 2018. Additionally, since it is a hotel, you’ll have access to amazing overnight accommodation selections, an on-site spa, golf course, and rehearsal dinner venues locations! This makes planning your whole wedding weekend a breeze!

Sound pretty amazing? We haven’t even mentioned the amazing event staff of The Ballantyne Hotel who settle for nothing less than perfection. We love the staff so much, we thought it would be great to introduce them to you! So we sat down with Catering Sales Manager Emily Brandewie, who gave us the skinny on the space and why she loves helping brides live out their dreams!
How many weddings do you generally host per year?
45-50 weddings per year
What are some of your favorite “different” things you have seen couples do at their wedding?
The weekend events are becoming just as customized and unique to the couple’s story as the wedding day itself. I have seen several couples taking advantage of our resort-style property throughout their wedding weekend in fun and creative ways.
I have one bride who is considering incorporating our Golf School into her wedding weekend. On Friday prior to their wedding, the ladies will be enjoying the Spa and the men will go golfing before congregating in the afternoon for snacks, cocktails and a custom created “top-golf” style experience.
I have another couple that will be offering glow-in-the-dark night putting during their rehearsal dinner as a casual and engaging way for their families the blend.
What is your favorite part about working in the wedding industry?
The people! My relationships with creative partners in this industry are precisely what I love most and Charlotte is definitely a city that embodies the idea of “Community over Competition”.
Best piece of advice to a newly engaged couple?
HIRE A PLANNER!!!!! As a couple you want to enjoy the planning process and your wedding. This person is more than just your wedding weekend – she/he is bringing to life you vision and ensuring a flawless and fabulous celebration! I am not even in a relationship, but I have trained my father even to know that if/when the day comes, a planner is definitely one of our top priorities.
