The Triple C Romantic Light Wedding
Jessica and Joshua were married at the Triple C Barrel Room near Triple C Brewery in Charlotte, North Carolina with a romantic light and greenery filled wedding. The wedding was a perfect reflection of the style Jess and Josh have together. She even joked that she would wear a black wedding gown because her favorite color to wear is black! She didn’t, but she did wear one to her rehearsal!
Jess was introduced to me through last year’s bride, Julia (wedding here) and I am so glad she introduced us! Jess and I had so much fun working on her wedding! She is from Ohio and is a lawyer, so is Josh, and she wanted a darker look at her wedding with lots of candlelight. I think we achieved it! My first goal, after the venue was secured, was to find a florist to do this style here in NC. Carolyn Shepard was the perfect fit. The hanging orbs were amazing! And the greenery runners and floating candles everywhere, perfectly complemented the goal of the night, to have a beautiful, and romantic light-filled evening.
Jess also wanted to play off of the venue she selected with wine bottles as their table numbers and guest book. Guests signed their names on their table “number”, which corresponded to an anniversary year that Jess and Josh will open the bottle of wine on! Jess also wanted florals that wowed without being too heavy on actual flowers. We achieved this look through lots of greenery and branches and floating candles all around to help with the lighting. She also wanted to use a different metal, so we used a copper as her metallic element, with the use of chargers and chairs for the head table, and also the venue’s own copper looking barrel out front.
Jessica was absolutely stunning in her gown! She found the perfect dress, and it really shows. During her first look, she decided to surprise Josh by bringing him a shot of bourbon! They both love wine and bourbon, people after my own heart! and it was the cutest first look! Their dogs, Bella and Hobbs, and very important in their lives. Bella is Jess’s baby (and I can relate!), so she was there all day during getting ready. We loved that the Kimpton Tryon Park opened up and that they are so dog-friendly! Hobbs hung out with the guys.
In lieu of wedding cake, Josh loves pies, so we had amazing mini pies made up that were a huge hit! I had to make sure we saved some for the bride and groom at the end of the night! ? Jess had a surprise dance for her Dad that was a mashup of all the songs from her childhood that she heard riding in the car with him on drives. There was a lot of sniffling during it because of the bond you could see they share.
Jess and Josh, I am so thankful to have been a part of your wedding!
XOXO,
Amanda
