Trends We Love – Meaningful Favors

Weddings are a great way to bring people together, after all, your wedding is, of course, going to be centered around the joining of you and your significant other. Often when the people we love the most show up for us we feel led to give them a token of our appreciation; enter the wedding favor.  We here at Magnificent Moments Weddings have seen some pretty amazing favors over the years. Couples have showered their guests with everything from koozies to vintage coke bottles, but a new more giving trend is on the rise related to the wedding favor. So we thought we would share the newest trend we love: Meaningful Favors.

This newest trend in wedding favors allows you to give back to your guests and others at the same time. So we rounded up some great ideas to help you pull off this trend at your big event.

Is there a cause that is close to your heart?  Do you love hiking in our nation’s National Parks, love cuddling kittens at the local animal shelter, or enjoy volunteering in your local school district?  Consider donating a sum to one of these places in your guests’ names or honor. It is the perfect way to spread your love with those who need it most.

Do you still want to give your guests something physical?  Consider buying items that support an organization. This will make your gift so much more meaningful for you and your guests. Think of things like Girl Scout Cookies or Lottery Scratchers (In North Carolina the proceeds go straight to public education).  This allows your guests to walk away with something and you can still feel like you did something good!
