Charlotte Wedding Planner Inspiration Shoot
As a Charlotte Wedding Planner, I like to do inspiration photo shoots in order to let my creative juices flow! They help me to show off new trends to brides and to show the extent of the design I can create. So, I had an idea for Amy and am so glad she went with it! I wanted to do a moodier (for me) shoot with some black, but also some very pale pinks. I was thinking it would be for a Southern girl who has moved towards Baltimore, or further in the Northeast, coming back down to have her wedding here in the South. I saw a set up at the High Point furniture show back in Fall 2016 and used the tones as inspiration! Interior design is somewhere I find a lot of inspiration and designed the shoot around the feel of the photo.
Together Amy and I dreamed up a couple that met at Columbia University and bonded over their shared Southern roots. When it was time to plan their wedding, they concentrated on blending their heritage with the more modern adult lives and careers in the city. The venue is a 200-year-old manor home that features an e eclectic interior design with both modern and villa-esque décor.
Wrought iron, marble and barn wood elements come together to highlight the diverse styles of the couple. Regal peacocks roam the estate next to an idyllic stream and manicured boxwoods. The brides’ light gray gown and the charcoal-hued, minimalist cake satisfy the couple’s need to stray from the ”traditional” white wedding. Stationery and accessories’ with strong lines and geometrical touches mix with whimsical florals and the simple yet daringly romantic gown echoes the bride’s distinctive trilliant-cut diamond engagement ring. Beautiful, unique and specific to their relationship.
