It’s time again to highlight another great vendor in the Charlotte area!  Here at Magnificent Moments Weddings, we love nothing more than sharing these great vendors and the people who work there with you, our clients. This week’s spotlight is on Something Classic Catering and the amazing food it has to offer!

Part of the greater The Mother Earth Group, Something Classic Catering also features a brick and mortar restaurant in Uptown Charlotte, called Something Classic Cafe.  Whether it is in the restaurant or served up at an amazing event, the food does not disappoint.  And the staff is amazing as well.  So I decided to sit down with Catherine Luckadoo, Event Stylist and Lead Wedding Specialist, to get the skinny on all things Something Classic.  Here is what she shared:

How many weddings do you generally do per year?

I specialize in them so I am lucky enough to do about 35 a year. As a company, we do approximately 120 weddings per year.

What are some of your favorite “different” things you have seen couples do at their wedding?

My favorite things are the personal touches. One of my couples chose a menu based on the regions that mattered to them- where they grew up, where they live and where they became engaged. When the menu really reflects the couple it is very special.

What is your favorite part about working in the wedding industry?

Ok, I know this sounds cheesy but seeing the happy bride and groom on the big day is really why I do this. I still get tears in my eyes and I never tire of it.

Best piece of advice to a newly engaged couple?

Two things, both from my personal and professional experience…1. Hire a professional planner. You may not think you need someone, but you DO. 2. Just know that there may be some bumps on the big day and handle them with grace. At the end of the day, you will be married to the one you love!
