So today I thought I would focus on escort cards and place cards, demystify their use and help you decide which one is the right choice for your event!
While both escort cards and place cards tell a guest where to sit, place cards are the more formal option. Place cards not only tell guest what table they will be seated at, but more specifically their designated seat. Many venues may require them if you are serving a plated dinner. Prior to the event, the cards will need to be marked with your guests dinner choices, allowing the staff to easily serve the correct meals.
These cards are your less formal option. Escort cards are usually placed on a table as guests enter the reception area to be picked up. The card will tell the guests what table they are assigned to and once there at the table, they are usually free to sit at any seat of their choosing. Escorts can also be fun, so don’t be afraid to get creative!
Do I Really Need Them?
