Dairy Barn Disney Themed Wedding on New Year’s Eve
Rachel and David were married at the Dairy Barn on New Year’s Eve with a Disney themed wedding! Rachel grew up in Fort Mill and wanted to get married in her hometown. I didn’t know this at the time, but her parents and I go to the same church!
Rachel and David both are die-hard Disney fans, although David’s taste lends to the Star Wars side of things ? Rachel and David moved down to Orlando so Rachel could work at Disney! She works as a Fairy Godmother in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique training school, helping little girls get their princess makeovers. David is a talented graphic designer who made all of the graphics for the wedding.
The wedding was gorgeous! It was later in the evening due to New Years, and the lights looked so spectacular against the dark night. It truly looked like a fairytale, which is what Rachel and David wanted. They even had a horse-drawn carriage! There were touches of Beauty and the Beast, Rachel’s favorite movie, and Star Wars, David’s favorite movie throughout the wedding, but especially in the song choices. Rachel and her Dad danced to Beauty and the Beast and this is actually the second wedding I have done where the bride and groom recessed down the aisle to Star Wars the Throne Room.
The greenery touches everywhere were amazing! Rachel’s parents actually started collecting the magnolia’s from family and friend’s homes the week of the wedding, and I even let them come to my giant magnolia tree and cut some branches! Talk about some customer service ? I was honestly happy to let them do this as everything looked so lush inside and gorgeous. Their wedding cake topper is a reference to Star Wars and their favors were Christmas ornament stars! We hung a few on the tree, which served as the gift spot. Rachel and David embraced the holiday theme at their wedding and it turned out spectacular!
