Marcia and Tommy are a fun travel loving couple who married at Sugar Creek Brewery this past fall. Their casual daytime event was a reflection of the couples love of family, friends, and travel. The theme of travel, which was Marcia’s goal, was ever present throughout the event. From the paper airplane escort cards to the Starbucks travel mugs on cocktail tables, Marcia seamlessly wove travel into just about every aspect of the event. More cute touches included globes on the tables as centerpieces and sweet handmade bouquets with flowers made out of maps. All these cute touches really brought the overall event together and guests really loved it.
Their ceremony was presided over by a close friend of Marica which brought such a personal touch. A live musician performed as the bridal party made their way down the aisle and I think it is safe to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house throughout the exchanging of the vows.
Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the reception space. Since the couple sought a casual feel to their wedding, they served pizza catered by True Crafted which the guests simply loved. A fun donut wall created by the bride’s father took the place of the cake and after a sweet “donut cutting” guests got their fill of some pretty tasty treats. On the dance floor guests had a blast. One amazing moment came when Marcia’s 10 year old nephew started breakdancing on the dancefloor, he wound up drawing a crowd of guests clapping and cheering him on. Over all the day felt like a big party they had with all their friends and everyone left having so much fun!
Congratulations Marica and Tommy! We here at Magnificent Moments Weddings wish you many years of love and happiness!
