The wedding business keeps us pretty busy here at Magnificent Moments and we wouldn’t have it any other way! But when we get a chance to take a break and unwind we take full advantage! So, today we thought it would be fun to share what our crew has been up to on our summer getaways!
Amanda-Jamaica
This summer I have a few beach trips planned! We (Rich and I) love to travel, but decided to keep our vacations relaxing this year while he finishes up his MBA. We went to Jamaica in May for a 5 day weekend and had a great time! Jamaica is definitely a beautiful and fun place to go! We actually used cheapcaribbean.com and had a fantastic experience at an all inclusive resort. In July, we went to Oak Island for a week with my family, it was so great to get to spend time with my parents and siblings! I definitely don’t get to see them as often anymore now that we are grown up. Rich and I’s bigger vacation this year is a cruise! We are going to the southern Caribbean to Aruba, St. Thomas, and a few other places. I am the most excited about Aruba and the Dutch influence the island will have. As you can tell, we absolutely LOVE to travel! 🙂
Shelby-North Myrtle Beach
This summer my little family enjoyed some great time at North Myrtle Beach. This has become somewhat of an annual tradition for us, we have some great friends that have become family and we love renting a house and enjoying a fun filled week with them. We had a great time playing on the beach, relaxing by the pool, and eating some pretty great food. The weather was absolutely amazing and I got to spend the whole week with my “toes in the water, butt in the sand“ 🙂Brittni- Myrtle Beach “Babymoon”
This summer our travels are a little limited being 9 months pregnant but David, and I made sure to get one small trip to Myrtle Beach in before the baby comes! We called it our “Babymoon”, a fun trend I saw on Pinterest and it was a blast! Pretty much, you take one last trip before your life is consumed with your newborn baby — it was much needed to get away from work and planning for baby, finally taking time to relax! We only went for the weekend but we made sure to make the most of our time there. We started our trip with the best pedicures and then lunch at a small diner on the beach, before checking into our hotel. Once we checked in we realized how tired we were and ended up taking a small nap…which never happens at home! We spent some time on the beach and then made our way to Broadway at the Beach and wandered through all the shops. We had an awesome caricature done of us, it’s amazing how well the artists can draw people as characters! The next day we spent the morning between the beach and the pool, found some lunch, went mini golfing and spent way too much money on souvenirs — but what’s a beach trip without some fun knick-knacks brought home? Although this trip was short, it was so much fun and so needed to relax before we welcome our sweet, baby girl into the world!
