Magnificent Moments | Meet Joelle

Unnamed

We at Magnificent Moments are happy to announce the newest addition to our team, Joelle Page!  She will be joining us this spring as our newest lead wedding coordinator!  She has been with us almost a year and has helped as an assistant to bring some of our most memorable events to life.  She truly fits right into our small family!  So I thought it would be fun to take some time out and interview Joelle so you all could get to know her!  I’m sure you will love her as much as we do!

Tell Us About Yourself!

I was born the fourth of five Page kids in my family and raised in Boone, North Carolina. I love food in almost every form and I compensate that with a love for exercising. I also love a good cup of coffee and I believe the best conversations happen with a warm mug in hand! I thrive being around people and I can confidently say I have never met a stranger.

I moved to Charlotte as a freshman at UNC Charlotte. In May, I will graduate with my degree in Organizational Communications and a minor in Childhood and Family Development. Over the past few years I have fallen in love with Charlotte and it has truly become my home!

What brought you to the MMW team?

I was brought to the Magnificent Moments team in Spring of 2018. Through being an Assistant Wedding Planner and an internship, Amanda and Shelby have helped me learn so much. They have each invested in me by challenging me to do things I haven’t done before and by really giving me ownership over my role. I am so excited to start my role as a Wedding Planner and Coordinator in Spring of 2019!

What drew you to wedding planning and coordination?

When I was 16, I had the opportunity to plan my junior prom. Although I was young, I fell in love with the process and knew it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. One of my favorite things about wedding planning is being part of a process from beginning to end. I love getting to hear dreams and ideas and then seeing them come to life the day of the wedding. With every wedding I have been a part of, I walk away with the same thought as when I was 16…”this is exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life!”

Do you have any advice for a bride when planning her wedding?

The best advice I have for a bride is to make your wedding reflect you and your future husband. A part of your wedding is that it is a day to inviting all your friends and family to support you as you begin a life together, so why not give them a snapshot of what you and your fiance really love…other than each other, of course! This can be done by having his and her drinks, your favorite foods, special dances, and even the songs you play. Little, personal details can make a big difference!
