Lauren and Alex were married at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Kings Mountain, North Carolina with a reception at Separk Mansion in January.
Lauren and Alex had actually been engaged for quite some time. When I first talked to Lauren, she basically said I want to marry him so badly but I have no time to plan a wedding and I need some direction. Well, we can certainly help with that! We also started the wedding planning process with a much smaller, and much more laid-back wedding. On our tours, they loved Separk and then a few weeks later went to a wedding for family and decided they did want the big thing 🙂
I had so much fun working alongside both of them. Alex is a paramedic, so he joined us as he could, and he is in school to get his nursing degree. Lauren is a lawyer, so we met on her lunch break a lot!
On the wedding day, you could just see the pure joy on their faces. It even translates into these photos. It didn’t matter what happened that day, Lauren was finally marrying Alex! She was so happy she was radiant. On the wedding day, she stopped by the nursing home to visit with her grandmother. You can see how happy that made her!
It drizzled a little on the day, but you can’t even tell from the photos (except when the umbrella was used for a few shots). I actually really like January weddings because it gives you something to look forward to after the holidays and during winter when otherwise, not a lot is going on. The church was just beautiful and very special to Lauren’s family. I am so glad they were able to get married there!
Lauren and Alex, I wish you nothing but the best! You two are a perfect match and I am so happy to have been a part of your love story.
XOXO,
Amanda
