Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding

Bride and groom exit through a sea of ribbon wands during their fall wedding at Foundation for the Carolinas

Leigh Ann and Raj were married at Myers Park United Methodist Church with a reception at the Foundation for the Carolinas in Uptown Charlotte, NC.  They had a gorgeous colorful wedding celebrating with their friends and family.  Truly, they had a gorgeous and fun wedding weekend!

They started off the weekend with a Carolina BBQ and Indian fusion rehearsal dinner for all out of town guests.  Leigh Ann is from a small town in Florida and Raj is part Indian, so it was a great mix of the two!

Leigh Ann loves color and Raj’s favorite color is orange, so I knew the perfect florist to take them to – Carrie at the Flower Diva!  She is the queen of color and she really delivered!  Leigh Ann wanted to incorporate blush pink roses in her bouquet in memory of her Mom, along with bright yellow, orange, and fuchsia flowers.  We started Leigh Ann’s design knowing she wanted stations, an open bar, and lots of flowers.  So that is what we set a majority of the budget towards.  The result was beautiful!

Leigh Ann and Raj are the perfect couple.  They met a little bit later in life but really support and care for each other so much.  It was definitely worth the wait!  Leigh Ann knew she only wanted her sister as her Maid of Honor and Raj wanted his brother.  They didn’t want a large wedding party.  Lynsley, Leigh Ann’s sister’s dress was a mix of a beautifully colored skirt with the top of their mother’s dress.  I love this sentimental touch along with the flowers in the bouquet.

Leigh Ann wanted colorful cocktail napkins at her stations, so we kept the tables a neutral brown color.  Leigh Ann added the pops of orange with the cocktail table ties just for Raj. I think the design of this wedding turned out just as colorful as we imagined!
