Morgan and Carter are a sweet couple who married at Providence Country Club this summer. They met at college at Virginia Tech and we are so glad they did. Their floral dream wedding was full of southern charm and had so many sweet details and touches.
Morgan and Carter’s ceremony took place at Belk Chapel on the grounds of Queen’s University. The small chapel was the perfect setting for their wedding. Morgan’s dad walked her down the aisle as a string quartet played. Carter’s uncle Doug presided over the vows which gave it all the more meaning. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house by the time the ‘I do’s” were done.

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to Providence Country Club for the cocktail hour and reception. As guests arrived they enjoyed the couple’s signature cocktail “The Rail” which was a nod to a Virginia Tech bar, The Top of The Stairs. Morgan and Carter even designed spin-off cups to match the famed drink but added cute caricatures of themselves. Guests loved it!
After cocktail hour guests were welcomed into the reception space. It was truly stunning! Overflowing centerpieces draped the room in flowers and touches of soft pink were the perfect accent to this elegant event. Morgan and Carter were introduced as husband and wife and walked out to “Enter Sandman” another Virginia Tech tradition. They then shared the sweetest first dance that left the room speechless. After dinner, the party got started and the live band kept the dance floor packed. A late-night snack of pizza fueled everyone for even more dancing.
Morgan and Carter exited the reception through a literal sea of sparklers, I have never handed out so many sparklers for a send-off in all the weddings I have been a part of. They got into a waiting golf cart and sped off a husband and wife.
