Ruth and Michael’s Firethorne Country Club wedding day was beautiful, especially after a rainy rehearsal! Ruth wanted a fairy tale theme wedding with a touch of Disney. She is a strong lady who used to be in the military and now has a thriving career with Microsoft. She is also an amazing Mom to her now officially three kids.
Ruth wanted every table to follow her purple color scheme, but look different. So we used various linens and napkins on each table to make sure none of them looked the same. She also wanted to honor her late sister and carried her photo on charms on her bouquet. A rainbow appeared during photos after the ceremony, and it was as if her sister was smiling down on her.
We did the flowers for this wedding and Ruth wanted lots of sunflowers! We were able to put tons of them on her ceremony space outside at Firethorne. Her table numbers were a nod to Disney and the fairy tale theme of the day and the sign Michael’s boys carried was precious!
Ruth and Michael were crazy people and bought a house about a month before their wedding! We were prepared though and Ruth was able to continue her hectic work travel schedule, and move! For the ceremony, Ruth wanted a way to honor the whole family coming together, so she did a glass ceremony. You place a color of glass representing each family member and pour them in together. Then, you ship off your glass and the company makes a beautiful piece of art out of your colors. I think this was an excellent way to represent their family. Also, right after the ceremony, Ruth gave each of the boys a gift and Michael gave Ruth’s daughter a gift. It was a perfect way for the family to all become one.
Ruth and Michael, you have created a beautiful marriage and family and I am so happy for you!
