Dark Green and Pale Pink Winter Wedding

Paige and Joe decided to get married at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church and Carmel Country Club. They had a gorgeous wedding with so many sentimental touches and a color scheme that makes my heart flutter – dark green and pale pink!

Paige and I started off with one round of a completely different color palate. She decided to change right after our first design meeting, knowing she was the one changed it! She wanted to do a dark green and pale pink look. I happened to have two photos on my phone for inspiration from some interior design ideas that I had liked, and it was the perfect inspiration photo for the new colors!

Design

Paige really embraced the winter wedding feel with still keeping in beautiful flowers. I love that she knew the season her wedding was in and didn’t try to fight it with spring florals. The colors of the flowers perfectly complimented everything about the design of the wedding! We used lush velvet deep green linens to give the luxe feel, and Paige loves paper, so she had paper elements everywhere! I think her welcome boxes are my favorite to date. She is a classic and clean bride, and I think it really shows in the selections of her wedding day.

In terms of design, we also wanted to incorporate a few nice elements. Joe’s parents had their cake topper, and while it was too heavy for the top of the cake, we used it as a sentimental element. Paige wanted to change her veil from the more formal Catholic ceremony into a floral comb, but a classic one! Julie delivered perfectly and Paige also took off her bolo to give a new look for the reception. She also changed a third time into a shorter dress to dance more easily!

The day was perfect in every way! It drizzled a little during the ceremony, but the rain held off for photos outside! The band played music all night and everyone was having a great time! The groom brought out his fancy footwork dance moves and Paige changed into a short dress as a surprise towards the end of the night. Everything about the day was absolutely perfect.
