Client Spotlight – Melissa | Magnificent Moments Wedding Bride

We here at Magnificent Moments Weddings get to work with some pretty amazing couples and we love nothing more than helping them make their wedding dreams come true.  So it is time again to shine our client spotlight another amazing bride! We want to share how awesome they are with you and give them the opportunity to relive their special day! So this month we reached out to Melissa Lewis and asked her to share her greatest memories of her Mint Museum wedding and any tips she may have for soon to be brides!

Melissa and her husband Caleb were married at The Mint Museum Uptown during such a fun event.    Their summer wedding had soft touches of blue throughout and their guests really had a blast! (Want to know all the details about Melissa’s big day?  Check out her real wedding feature on the blog here!). Since Melissa was such a great bride to work with, we wanted to sit down and ask her all about her experience, from the highs to the lows, and here’s what she shared.

What was your greatest memory of your day?

I have so many but the most vivid and the one I think I’ll remember forever is walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Caleb at the end. They’ve always gotten along so well and having them hug before my Dad sat down and the ceremony began just made me feel so content and happy – my two favorite guys!

Do you have any advice for brides still in the planning process?

Try to enjoy it! It can be stressful at times and of course, you want everything to go well but when you find a vendor you love or decor that is just perfect for your vision, savor those moments. I think when you enjoy the planning, it makes the wedding itself even that much more fun too.

Is there anything you would change about your wedding day?

I just wish I could relive it over and over, I had so much fun! I already had two amazing photographers but I guess maybe having a videographer as well so I could just rewatch the footage every day? 😉

Why did you choose MMW?

I was in desperate need of a coordinator after working with another planner who didn’t pan out just a few months before my wedding. While most of the big things were covered, I needed someone quick, efficient, and creative who could tie everything together. My venue kindly sent over a list of recommended planning teams they’d worked with before and MMW was on the list! I had already contacted a few other planners and was trying to figure out who to move forward with when I spoke to Amanda and I was immediately sold on MMW!

She was friendly, incredibly thoughtful about my planning situation, already throwing out ideas for my wedding, and most importantly to me, you could tell her and her team worked together smoothly and collaboratively. She told me that I would be working with Shelby and as she described her to me, I knew we would get along perfectly (super organized and loves Google Docs?!). Shelby was a godsend and made those last few months of planning fun and easy. The day of our wedding ran smoothly and me, my husband, and my guests had the best time!

Would you recommend hiring a wedding coordinator/planner to other brides?

I absolutely would (and do)! My biggest worry in the midst of planning was that on the day of the wedding, I would still be everyone’s contact for “We’re missing this, where is it?!” or “This vendor is late, what do we do?!” and I wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy my wedding day. I think having a great coordinator and/or planner gives the bride the peace of mind to truly enjoy the wedding and have fun with no stress!
