Cidery | Laid Back Pennsylvania Wedding | Destination Wedding Planner

My little brother got married in June of 2016 at Wyndridge Farm in Pennsylvania near his bride Allie’s hometown in Maryland.  Believe me when I tell you that I thought she lived near Baltimore (because I think everyone that lives in Maryland lives near Baltimore) and that is not the case!

Allie and Matthew met in college at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.  Allie wanted to get married near her hometown, so we searched high and low for a venue that fit her budget.  Wyndridge Farm was a perfect option and had amazing views.  Plus, it is a cidery which makes for a fun time!

Allie wanted to have plants as her place cards and favors and sadly, mine has died.  I tried to keep my herb alive!  She also asked my Aunt Wendy, who is a talented artist herself, to paint a custom guest book of their crazy coonhound dog, Leo.  She played off of the Wyndridge Farm mascot, a fox, and in the photo put Leo in a bowtie (he would probably eat one in real life if we tried!).

They had cupcakes and blue flowers and as a bridesmaid, we were allowed to pick our own dress – within the color scheme of course!  I had such a great time attending a wedding where my family was all present, but I wasn’t the bride!  You actually have a chance to visit with and talk to people 🙂  Cider was provided on the tables instead of champagne, although I did not warn all of my younger cousins – they were in for a surprise!

Matthew wore a blue suit and the groomsmen all wore navy.  The contrast looks great together!  Matthew takes after me just a little bit being picky about his clothes.  I helped my sister get ready and my brother with his dancing skills before his first dance!  The ring bearer and flower girl are Allie’s college field hockey coach’s children and they were the cutest!

Matthew and Allie, I can’t wait to see the new house!  And Allie, I have more lessons on being a southern lady for you!

XOXO,

Amanda

P.S. – My Grandpapa is too cool 🙂
