Blue and White Elegance at Ballantyne Hotel
Stephanie’s inspiration for their wedding design came from her love of blue floral patterns on ginger jars. This timeless motif was woven throughout their day, perfectly complementing the blue carpet and accents at the Ballantyne Hotel. From the stationery to the chargers on the dinner tables, every detail reflected her vision for a classic and cohesive design.

Stephanie and Ryan’s blue and white elegant wedding day was nothing short of magical, blending heartfelt family traditions, meaningful details, and playful nods to their favorite things. The couple tied the knot in an elegant ceremony at St. Patrick Cathedral, followed by a reception at the stunning Ballantyne Hotel. From sentimental touches to lively celebrations, every moment of their day was filled with love and joy.
A Dress Full of Love and Legacy
Stephanie’s wedding gown held more than just beauty—it carried generations of love. She had fabric from her mother’s and two grandmothers’ wedding dresses sewn into three heart shapes inside her dress. Arranged like a three-leaf clover, this personal touch serendipitously tied into the couple’s Notre Dame-inspired details, complete with shamrock cookies at their reception.
A Bouquet of Faith and Family
As Stephanie walked down the aisle, she carried more than flowers. One of her grandmother’s cherished prayer books was tied into her bouquet, a sweet nod to her family’s legacy of faith. This subtle but powerful addition made her walk to Ryan even more meaningful.
Football and Family Time
With an 11 a.m. ceremony, Stephanie and Ryan found a creative way to fill the gap between their vows and the reception. They hosted an intimate family lunch, where they enjoyed good food and good company while catching a football game. It was the perfect reflection of their fun-loving personalities and love for football Saturdays.
A Cake With a Colorful Twist
Ryan had one request for their wedding—a green cake, a tribute to his Irish surname and love of Notre Dame football. Stephanie agreed to a compromise: the cake’s exterior would be classic, but the inside would surprise everyone with its vibrant green layers. Guests were delighted during the cake cutting as the fun detail was revealed!
A Surprise Song and Family Fun
One of the most heartwarming moments of the night came courtesy of Stephanie’s dad. He was thrilled about the live band, The Finn’s, and joked that it felt like his own private concert. Unbeknownst to him, Stephanie had arranged for the band to surprise him by playing a song she had initially removed from the playlist. His joy was palpable, making the moment unforgettable for everyone.
During the father-daughter and mother-son dances, Stephanie and her dad shared the floor with Ryan and his mom, dancing side-by-side. After about a minute, the couples invited all the guests onto the dance floor, creating a lively start to the evening’s festivities.
Stephanie and Ryan’s wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities, family bonds, and shared passions. From the sentimental details to the joyful celebrations, their day was a beautiful beginning to their forever story.
