A Garden Themed Wedding

Holly and Matt had a garden-themed wedding at the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina with all of their family and friends. Holly and Matt met at William and Mary. Holly is a middle school teacher and Matt is in accounting. They live outside of the D.C./Baltimore area and knew they wanted a wedding planner to help execute their vision. I am so glad they chose me to help them! They are the sweetest couple and just perfect for each other. According to the toasts of the night, Matt met Holly and came back to tell his fraternity brothers that he met a girl and she was 5’11” (he is much taller than that) so it was meant to be!

Holly wanted a garden-themed wedding, so we allocated a lot of her budget to the florals. She was married at the Ballantyne Hotel with her ceremony outside as the sun was going down. Her father was unable to attend, so a family friend live-streamed the ceremony for him. The day of the wedding was very hot, but we made sure to keep everyone inside as long as possible before the short and sweet ceremony.

The cocktail hour and reception were amazing and everyone was enjoying themselves while Holly and Matt were taking photos. There were many surprises throughout the night from Holly to her Mom and vice versa. Even the first dance was a surprise between Holly and Matt! It was so hard for the DJ and I to keep everything a secret! But we pulled it off and each one was surprised from the other with sweet sentiments to make sure her Dad’s presence was known.

Their friends and family had such a great time and the dance floor was full the whole night, especially with Holly’s Mom! Holly and Matt, I wish you all the best!
